Congratulations on purchasing the BiW4Teens Group Program License. Your organization has taken an important step toward helping the youth in your community live healthier lives. The group program resource materials will provide program staff with everything needed to successfully implement and facilitate the BiW4Teens Group Program. Once program staff have download and/or reviewed all the materials provided on this page, they will be able to guide youth through the program’s interactive health coaching videos and companion workbook during group sessions.

Download this guide as instructed in the implementation checklist above. This guide helps the health coach prepare for and facilitate each group session. As of 8.26.2025 this guide is still in draft form. Anticipated completion date is 9.15.2025. Thank you for your patience!!

BiW4Teens Workbook in Paperback
Your organization has the option to purchase the BiW4Teens Workbook in paperback. The paperback workbook sells for $20.95 on Amazon. The cost of the paperback workbook or the cost of printing the PDF workbook are not included with the price of the Biw3Teens Group Program License.
If you choose to purchase the paperback workbook, you will need to print off copies of the Parent Support Pack and give it to the parents of the teen/tween participants.

BiW4Teens Group Program Brochure
This brochure is used to distribute in public settings to inform the public about the BiW4Teens Group Program that an organization will be providing for youth. The brochure includes details about what the program is, why it is important, how it works, and program benefits. There is a space for the sponsoring organization to write in dates and times the group will meet.
BiW4Teens Group Program Brochure with Prescription for a Healthy Weight
This brochure includes an area to record measurements, BMI percentile, and BMI risk level which includes the list of health conditions associated with a high BMI. The brochure provides details about what the program is, why it is important, how it works, program benefits, plus lists six key healthy habits for youth to start working on adopting. There is a space for the sponsoring organization to write in dates - times - location for the BiW4Teens Group sessions.
This brochure is intended to be used by healthcare personnel. It helps to make a difficult conversation with parents, easier. Parents can see why their child's high BMI is unhealthy . This is a great brochure for healthcare clinics or school nurses to use when referring youth to a BiW4Teens Group Program.

Part 1 - Causes and Consequences of Childhood Obesity
This training video helps program staff understand the health consequences of untreated childhood obesity. Staff learn about factors that contribute to the development of obesity in childhood. Staff will learn about 28 nutrition and lifestyle habits that increase a child's risk for becoming obese.
Part 2 - The Program: Segment 1 - Program Overview
During this training video program staff are given an overview of the program and learn about program outcomes and benefits pediatricians and youth have reported. Staff find out how BiW4Teens is helping meet the Healthy People 2030 objectives plus is reducing risk factors for developing chronic health conditions.
Part 2 - The Program: Segment 2 - Foundational Component
Program staff are provided a detailed explanation about the interventions that make up the behavior change component, which is the foundation of the program.
Part 2 - The Program: Segment 3 - Other Program Components
Program staff are provided an explanation concerning content and interventions that make up each of the following program components: Lifestyle Habits; Nutrition; Physical Activity; and Parent Training.
BiW4Teens Habits Explanation Cue Card
This cue cards helps the health coach explain how and why each nutrition and lifestyle habit in the program negatively or positively affect energy balance in youth. This information is also covering during Session 5 and 7 videos. Sometimes youth or parents need addition explanation or reminders about these key program habits. This cue card keeps the health coach prepared for these times when an extra explanation is needed.
